Called ‘Spicy Annual Sale’, SpiceJet’s offer will be open till midnight of November 24. This SpiceJet Rs 737 offer is applicable for travel period between January 9, 2017 and October 28, 2017. SpiceJet said the starting fare of Rs 737 (all-inclusive) is applicable on sectors like Chennai – Coimbatore – Chennai, Jammu- Srinagar – Jammu, Chandigarh – Srinagar – Chandigarh and Agartala – Guwahati covering distance up to 500 km.

Only statutory taxes are refundable if tickets bought under this offer is cancelled, SpiceJet said. The budget carrier also said that it is also accepting old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes at its airport counters till the midnight of November 24, but such bookings are non-cancellable and non-changeable as per government directives.

SpiceJet did not disclose the number of seats offered under this ‘Annual Sale’. There is limited inventory under the offer, and seats will be available on first-come-first-served basis, SpiceJet said.
The promotional offers by airlines have helped spur a strong demand in domestic air travel. Passengers carried by domestic airlines have surged over 20 per cent so far this year, as compared to last year.

SpiceJet’s offer comes in the wake similar offers from rival airlines. AirAsia India is offering all-inclusive fares from Rs 899. This AirAsia India offer is open till November 27 and is applicable on travel till April 30, 2017. Jet Airways had also recently announced a “winter sale” on select routes for domestic travel, with tickets starting an all-inclusive Rs 1,048.

SpiceJet had earlier said that it is planning to add about three Bombardiers and 4 to 5 Boeings by the end of the current fiscal as it wants to increase its daily flights by 10 per cent and also introduce new international destinations.
